Past Events 2012 - 2013
Special Olympics Nevada hosts year-round fundraising events in order to support the sports training and competition opportunities provided to almost 3,000 Special Olympics athletes at no cost to them or their families. 2013 Past Events
March 1 - 3, 2013 - Blazent Celebrity Winterfest
This action packed weekend brought together corporate teams for a little friendly head to head racing down the slopes of Diamond Peak Ski resort! Check out a recap of the 2013 event. Save the Date for 2014! February 28 - March 2, 2014
February and March, 2013 - Polar Plunges
Our plunges raised over $430,000 with more than 1,800 participants! If you missed it this year, you'll want to be a part of it next year! Check back soon for 2014 dates and on-line registration!
February 17, 2013 - Cupids for Poker
Players enjoyed "tag team" poker with proceeds benefiting Special Olympics.
2012 Past Events
December 18, 2012 - Cops and Doughnut Deliveries
Instead of the same old corporate holiday gifts, orders were placed to have Krispy Kreme doughnuts delivered to offices by Law Enforcement personnel.
November 17, 2012 - Color Me Rad Fun Run
This event brought a tsunami of colors to participants.
November 9 - Bowl for the Gold Reno
Whether you threw strikes or gutter balls, bowling with Special Olympics athletes was a blast!
October 13, 2012 - Over the Edge
Special Olympics to fundraising to new heights, when daring souls raised funds for the change to rappel down the outside of Planet Hollywood. Watch for the 2013 date and on-line registration coming soon!
