WHO:
All month, generous customers have been rounding up and making donations at more than 2,500 Jersey Mike’s locations throughout the nation during the 14th Annual Month of Giving fundraising campaign for local charities. On March 27, Day of Giving, it’s our turn to give: The more we sell, the more we donate!
Special Olympics Nevada
WHAT:
Special Olympics Nevada is thrilled to announce its independence from the Northern California chapter after 22 years of collaboration. Prior to gaining independent status, Special Olympics Nevada was the only state without its own chapter. This achievement positions Special Olympics Nevada as a fully independent chapter, enabling the organization to broaden its impact on the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities across the state.
Confirmed speakers for the event, which will be on February 1, at Pinocchio’s restaurant in Sparks, include the President and CEO of the newly independent Nevada Chapter, Terrence Thornton, as well as the Special Olympics Nevada Board Chair, Dave Bowman and Athlete Leader and Special Olympics Board member, Brandy Goodson. Attending the event will be Special Olympics athletes, coaches and community partners.
Members of the media are invited to attend this event to capture the significance of Special Olympics Nevada’s newfound independence.
